Kitano Ijinkan

Kitano Ijinkan is located in Kobe, the city near Osaka. You can take train from Osaka for about an hour to reach Kobe. In my one day tour to Kobe, Kitano Ijinkan is the first place that I visit. So, What’s kind of place is it? Let’s check it out!

Brief Introduction

Kitano Ijinkan

Kitano Ijinkan is located in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Kitano Ijinkan is a historical district which contains a number of foreign residences from the late Meiji and early Taisho eras, some still serving as residences, while the others opened to tourist.

The amazing appearance of this unique historical construction will definitely enchanted you. Kitano Ijinkan is a place that can show you fully and lively about how the foreign culture was brought into Japan and how exactly it looked like at that time.

Kitano Ijinkan was established in 1867, following the opening of Kobe Port for foreign trade in 1868. Because the different culture between the foreigners and the Japanese people itself, it was necessary to have separate residences for foreigners, and Kitano area fell into foreigners’ eyes because they can oversee the harbor from this area. So, they started the construction of hundreds houses of western style at that time.

Italian Residence

Although, most of these houses were devastated in the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995, the remaining has been repaired as the original form. Today, they have about more than 20 houses for sightseeing. Kitano Ijinkan residences’ unique and amazing buildings, elements of the ancient England, France and German meet each other to create the most wonderful atmosphere of cultural interference.

My first stop when I reached Kobe is Kitano Ijinkan, even I had search how to go to that place, but I still ask the head station to make sure about it.And he said that you can reach Kitano Ijinkan from Kobe Station by foot. So, I began to walk towards Kitano Ijinkan.

When I arrived in the Kitano Area, I go through a Shrine called Kitano Tenman Shrine. From Kitano Tenman Shrine, we can see part or Kitano Area. Just rigth in the Kitano Tenman Shrine is the Kitano Area and you already can see the former foreigner residences. As it’s mention above, the residence is filled with the amazing buildings that contain the element of the ancient of some western country.

I’m very lucky, when I went there, there’s a couple who shot they pre-wedding photo, and I found the bride’s dress is really cute, and how she make up it likes something that you only can see in the manga or cosplay exhibition. For the extra, I will give the picture that I took that have them inside (well, even it’s not very clear)J

I really enjoy my time exploring Kitano Ijinkan area. If you just walking around the area, the time you spent won’t be so long. But, if you want to go inside every residences, then it would take a long time until you are finish exploring everything.

Anyway, in my opinion Kitano Ijinkan is a nice place to visit. What I like about this place is the unique and amazing buildings they have, I just can’t stop looking at it. If you are tired there are some restaurant and cafe to rest and enjoying the view from the inside.

Makanan enak selalu ada di mana saja, begitu pula dengan kota kelahiranku, disini terdapat beragam makanan yang tidak kalah dengan restoran bintang lima. Salah satunya_yang akan saya bahas di post ini_ adalah Soto Mie Agih. Soti Mie Agih, yang belakangan lebih terkenal berasal dari Bogor, sebenarnya berasal dari Sukabumi. Setelah pemiliknya membuka cabang di Bogor, banyak konsumen yang mengira soto mie ini berasal dari Bogor. Padahal mie ini telah ada di Sukabumi sejak saya kecil. Nasi Ayam Geprek Sambal Bawang Ambyar

Pandemi yang berkepanjangan ini membuat kita berdiam diri di rumah terus. Biar lebih hemat, awalnya saya sih masak sendiri, tapi setelah sekian purnama masak sendiri, terkadang ada rasanya ingin menikmati cita rasa makanan yang sesungguhnya, dari tempat makan di luar sana. Kali ini, saya putuskan untuk pesan melalui aplikasi online, makanan yang simpel tapi ngena banget rasanya. Nasi Ayam Geprek Sambal Bawang Ambyar ini, jujur saya beli karena lagi ada promo (siapa yang suka berburu promo juga?). Selain satu paket ayam geprek, saya juga pesen satu tahu goreng. Ga pake lama, pesenan saya datang dan saya langsung bisa menikmatinya, sebelum tentunya saya kasih ke HP saya dulu untuk dinikmati.
